Hello — I’m Alan Wellburn, a graphic designer specialising in Film & TV graphics. Since early 2023 I’ve worked on major UK productions, delivering set dressing graphics, signage, illustrated props, hero artwork, large-format scenic pieces and on-screen graphics. I’m experienced in taking designs from initial concept through to print-ready assets, working closely with Art Directors, Set Dec and Scenic teams.
Before moving into Film & TV, I spent over 20 years in commercial design, including senior roles with Oxford University Press and branding and campaign work for organisations such as Amnesty International, Friends of the Earth and ActionAid. This background gives me a strong grounding in typography, layout, branding systems and production-led workflows.
Alongside graphics, I create digital and painted artwork influenced by traditional illustration and historic techniques. Several of these pieces have been used in television productions, printed on canvas, textured and hand-finished for authenticity.
I work across the UK and am fully mobile with my own transport.
